Megan Burleson, DO, MS is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Burleson currently sees patients at the Ryan Center for Sports Medicine and Boston University Student Health Services. She also serves as a team physician for Boston University. Her clinical interests include diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures, including corticosteroid injections, platelet-rich plasma injections, percutaneous needle tenotomy, and selective peripheral nerve hydrodissections. Dr. Burleson is passionate about increasing access to care in underserved communities and efforts toward intentional work addressing disparities in sports medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and currently serves on the membership committee and the diversity, equity, and inclusion subcommittee.
