About

F. Thurston Drake, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed general surgery residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in 2015. He also holds a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the University of Washington School of Public Health. Dr. Drake went on to complete his clinical training in the Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery Fellowship Program at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, one of the country’s top programs for this specialty. He joined the Boston Medical Center Department of Surgery in 2016 and is now Chief of Endocrine Surgery. He is also an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His research interests include improving surgical care for patients who are not English-language proficient. Dr. Drake serves as a Commander in the US Navy Reserve Medical Corps.
