About

Ronald E. Iverson, MD, MPH, is an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN), Vice Chair of Obstetrics and Director of Labor and Delivery at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Iverson is also an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He focuses on delivering excellent inpatient and outpatient care, leading teamwork training across BMC’s labor and delivery, post-partum, and neonatal units. Dr. Iverson’s research interests center around quality improvement and obstetric safety, and empowering OB/GYN teams to understand and implement all available tools for patient safety. His work has helped improve long-term care of women with gestational diabetes and factors contributing to hypertension during pregnancy. Dr. Iverson is co-chair of the Perinatal Neonatal Quality Improvement Network and as a member of the National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives.
