About

Dr. Aparicio, MD, MPH, is a vascular neurologist at Boston Medical Center. He graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and completed a Neurology Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a Stroke Fellowship at Boston Medical Center and he has been an attending neurologist on staff at BMC since 2015. Dr. Aparicio is an Assistant Professor of Neurology (Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center). His research focuses on the prevention of stroke and dementia with emphasis on the effects of vascular and lifestyle risk factors on brain health, and differences observed by sex and race. He is an Assistant Director of Research at the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research.
