Clinical Research Billing and Finance (CRBF) Series, Session 2

Sponsored by Research Operations' Clinical Trial Office (CTO), the CRBF series is open to all BMC/BUMC investigators and staff. In session 2, CTO Senior Manager Mike Porreca introduces the many steps required for operationalizing research billing compliance. Subsequent sessions, to be held over the next year, will focus on individual process steps and their related roles and responsibilities.  

Objectives 

At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the front-to-back end process required to protect participants and BMC/BUMC
  2. Discuss the crucial roles of timely, thorough internal budgeting, Velos-CT visit logging, and charge reconciliation, and
  3. Explain how to reach out to the Clinical Trial Office staff with any questions or concerns.
