About

Lauren D Stern, MD, is a nephrologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Medical Director of BMC's Home Dialysis Program, which provides peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis for patients with end-stage kidney disease. Dr. Stern is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Nephrology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she serves as the Director of the Integrated Renal Physiology and Pathophysiology (PISCES) course for first-year medical students. She received Boston Magazine’s Top Doc Award for 2020, 2021 and 2022, and Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine award for 2020, 2021 and 2022. She has served on several committees through the American Society of Nephrology.
