About

Felicia Chen, MD is a board-certified pulmonologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Chen is also an assistant professor of medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. In addition, she provides pulmonary and critical care consultative services at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and an affiliated rehabilitation hospital. Her special interests include vitamin A and retinoid biology, embryonic lung development, lung homeostasis, lung injury and repair, fibrotic lung diseases, asthma and airway smooth muscle heterogeneity. Dr. Chen is a prolific researcher, whose laboratory projects focus on the role of retinoic acid, the natural active metabolite of vitamin A, in embryonic lung development and postnatal lung health.
