Your baby is the size of a butternut squash!
Your baby can gently blink now, and their eyes adjust to light by getting bigger or smaller.
A soft, creamy coating called vernix is getting thicker to protect their skin and keep them warm.
Have you thought about making your birth plan? It’s good to get prepared. A birth plan is a good way to ensure that you take control of your birth and express your wishes during and after labor. Each birth is different.
A good way to start a birth plan is to first know who your primary support person will be. It could be a doula, Birth Sister, spouse, family member, or even a friend. Talk to them about your wishes. For more information talk to your care team.
What to Know About Preeclampsia
Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication that everyone should know about.
Preeclampsia is when a pregnant person’s blood pressure goes up. This can be a sign of danger for the pregnant person and the baby. It can cause bleeding, kidney damage, seizures, and more in the pregnant person. It can also affect the blood flow in the baby, making them small and fragile. The only real cure for preeclampsia is giving birth.
Watch for symptoms of high blood pressure, like headache, vision changes, and abdominal pain. You know your body best.
