Bump & Beyond

Your baby is the size of a bell pepper!

Their teeth are starting to grow under their gums. Your baby can hear sounds inside your body, like your heartbeat. They are starting to sleep and wake at regular times, and loud noises might wake them up.

A soft, fuzzy hair called lanugo covers their body. This hair helps keep them warm and safe.

Are you hungry? You’re probably starting to have an increase in appetite and cravings now. Be sure to eat foods that are nutrient-rich so your baby gets the food they need for healthy growth.

The BMC Preventive Food Pantry is located in the Yawkey building basement and provides fresh fruits and foods for families. You need a referral from your provider to access the food pantry.

BMC social workers and advocates also have lists of food pantries in your area. For more food pantries in the Boston area, call 211.
