Bump & Beyond

Your baby is the size of a jicama!

All five senses—hearing, smell, taste, sight, and touch—are now working. Your baby can taste some of the foods you eat by swallowing amniotic fluid. This helps them get to know your family's foods and flavors.

Their skin is no longer see-through. Most of their organs are ready, but the lungs and brain are still growing.

Getting ready for birth? Pack a small bag with comfy clothes, toiletries, and a few baby basics. And don’t forget a safe car seat for the ride home!

Check the packing list and L&D FAQs so you know what the hospital provides, where to go, and can get common questions about your hospital stay answered.

Labor Consent Form

We will ask you to review a consent form for labor during this time in pregnancy. Its a chance to talk about how we can help if labor and birth do not go as expected. Learn more so you can feel prepared with questions for your care team.

Breast Pumps

Your breasts are getting ready to make milk for your baby. After birth, a breast pump can help you express and store milk so others can help with feeds. Applying for your pump now is one more step in getting ready.

Most insurance covers a breast pump at no cost. Apply before birth so it’s ready when baby arrives.
