Bump & Beyond

Your baby is the size of a honeydew melon!

Your baby is getting more ready for birth each day. Their body is growing quickly!

Their brain is still growing and now weighs about two-thirds of what it will at birth.

You’ll start seeing your prenatal care provider more frequently, about once a week. Around 36 weeks, you will have a test for Group B Strep and other infections to keep baby healthy.

Need to Change How You Eat?

Your stomach is getting pressed by your baby. For some people, this may mean needing to eat their meal in a few sittings instead of all at once.

Hand Expressing Milk

Prenatal milk expression (hand expression) can help you practice collecting colostrum—the first milk—and save a small amount for your baby after birth. For some people, it may also help the body get ready for labor.

Learn how to hand express, get breastfeeding basics, and find out where to get help if you have questions or want lactation support.
