Bump & Beyond

Newborns sleep a lot—about 14–17 hours a day, but in short chunks. Day and night can feel mixed up at first. Baby will start to sleep for longer chunks at a time.

Your belly, bleeding, and weight change slowly over weeks to months, not days. There is no one “right” timeline for healing. Some people feel like they are getting back to normal by six weeks postpartum. Some people take longer, and that is okay.

You can start slow gentle exercise like pushing the baby in their stroller and going on walks. Getting outside for some fresh air can help you feel better.
