Notes

Spicy Chocolate Mousse!

Chocolate is made from cacao, a plant that originally grew in Mexico and now it also grown in other parts of the world. True Mexican hot chocolate is made from true Mexican chocolate, which is quite different from other kinds of chocolate because of its granular texture, and because it often contains spices like cinnamon and vanilla. According to The Spruce Eats website, native communities such as Olemeca, Maya and Aztec people used to drank cacao beverages spiced with chilies and other flavors.

This is not an authentic Mexican recipe, but it uses some of the flavors from Mexican hot chocolate including cacao, cinnamon, cayenne and vanilla.
