An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Recommended Zoom Meeting Strategies for Extra Security

For added security, IT strongly recommends the following:

  • Change the screen sharing option to "Host Only." If you need to have multiple people share their screen during a presentation, set the additional presenters to "co-host" and they will be able to share as well.
  • Do not post links to your meeting on public sites, like the web or any social media. Use direct email instead.
  • When a higher level of confidentiality is required, make the meeting private and require a password for the attendees to enter the room.
  • As host you can also require a waiting room for your meeting where each user must wait until they are approved by a host or co-host.
