In-Kind Donations
If you are interested in giving back to the patients of Boston Medical Center, we offer you the opportunity to make an in-kind donation. The below programs are accepting new clothing, goods and cards for patients and staff here throughout the year. All clothing purchased must be new with the tags still attached.
Adult Emergency Department
Seeing over 12,000 patients a month, BMC's Emergency Department is the busiest in New Eng-land. After experiencing a traumatic event, some patients are not able to wear the clothes they came in and need a change of clothes.

Child Life Program
The Child Life Program at Boston Medical Center helps children and families manage the stresses associated with hospitalization and illness.

Clothing Bank
Boston Medical Center is fortunate to have an onsite clothing bank that holds basic seasonal clothing, shoes and coats for patients in need. Social workers are some of the few people in the hospital that have access to this resource and consulting with a social worker is necessary to access the clothing bank.

Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights
In an effort to serve survivors of torture and related trauma, Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights firmly recognizes the importance of providing care to the whole person and reaches out to refugee communities and torture survivors to offer a place of safety and trust. BCRHHR provides comprehensive medical, mental health, obstetric/gynecological care coordinated with social services and legal referrals to approximately 375 individuals from over 40 countries.

Violence Intervention Advocacy Program (VIAP)
VIAP helps guide victims of community violence through recovery from physical and emotional trauma. Items donated will help with education and job training programs, life skills training (financial literacy and effective communication), recreational and wellness programs and with support at school meetings (individual education plan (IEP) and tutoring).
Accepted Donations
- Men's wear: plain white athletic socks, sweatpants and sweatshirts, winter gloves/hats
- School notebooks (mostly Large and XL)
- Personal care and toiletries
