These burgers are both delicious and healthy. Mushrooms contain antioxidants which help decrease inflammation in the body. Adding vegetables to burgers increases their bulk, while also making them more nutritious. 

Ingredients


Mushrooms - 1 container (8-10 oz) OR your favorite vegetables (frozen spinach, shredded zucchini, or frozen peppers and onions) Green_onion - ½ bunch Ginger - 1 teaspoon Soy_sauce - 1 Tablespoon Ground_turkey - 1 lb (93% fat free) Lime - 1 juiced Egg - 1 egg Garlic - 1 clove Unsalted_peanut_butter - 3 Tablespoons Soy_sauce - 2 Tablespoons low sodium Water - 2 Tablespoons Ground_ginger - 1 teaspoon Red_pepper_flakes - ½ teaspoon

Instructions

Step 1
Finely chop the mushrooms and green onion and add to the mixing bowl.
Step 2
Add the ginger and soy sauce to the bowl with the mushrooms. Add the ground turkey and mix with your hands.
Step 3
Add ground turkey, egg, ginger and soy sauce. Mix with your hands until combined.
Step 4
Spray a frying pan with cooking spray and turn the heat to medium-high. Using a ¼ measuring cup, scoop out the turkey mixture directly onto the pan and flatten with your hand to mold into burger patties.
Step 5
Cook each burger for 5 minutes. Flip, and cook for another 5 minutes or until the burger is cooked through and no longer pink (165°F ).
Step 6
While the meatballs are cooking, squeeze the lime into a jar with a lid. Mince the garlic and add to a container. Add the peanut butter, soy sauce, water, ground ginger, and red paper flakes. Put the lid on and shake until combined.
