BMC’s Yawkey building doors are now closed as an entrance as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our campus and provide you with the best clinical care.

All patients and visitors on our main campus must enter our hospital via Shapiro, Menino, or Moakley buildings, where they will be greeted by team members at a new centralized check-in desk before continuing to the hospital. This is a delectable dessert, fun to serve to others at a gathering or party. These truffles are rich in different minerals,  vitamins, and antioxidants. 

Ingredients


Walnuts - 1/2 cups, chopped Dates - 2 cups Water - 1/4 cup Cocoa-Powder - 1/2 cup (raw) Vanilla - 1 teaspoon Toppings - 1 cup chopped nuts, coconut, or cocoa powder (for rolling)

Instructions

Step 1
Pulse walnuts in the blender or food processor until fine
Step 2
Add dates, water, and vanilla and blend until combined.
Step 3
Add the cocoa powder and blend until smooth and add a dough forms (if the dough is too sticky, try pushing the batter down with a spatula. If it continues to stick, slowly add 1 tablespoon of water at a time).
Step 4
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Step 5
Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and roll into a ball.
Step 6
Roll the balls in shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or cocoa powder.
Step 7
Keep in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
