Gilson C. Fernandes, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He completed his cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fernandes specializes in ablation procedures for the management of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias with techniques to reduce or eliminate radiation use. Dr. Fernandes also performs placement of pacemaker, defibrillators and left atrial appendage closure devices. Dr. Fernandes conducts clinical research and has published over 60 manuscripts and abstracts in international cardiology and electrophysiology journals.
