Lymphedema is a condition where lymph fluid builds up in body tissues, causing swelling. This is a common outcome following treatment for head and neck cancer. 

Lymphedema is a chronic condition and it cannot be cured, but it can be managed. The earlier it is treated, the better the response to the therapy. Our team of head and neck Speech Language Pathologists are specialists are uniquely trained to treat lymphedema following head and neck surgery or radiation.
