We are dedicated to providing you and your loved ones with services that address a wide range of needs, including social and emotional needs.

Patient Navigation

The Oncology Patient Navigation Program focuses on helping you overcome barriers that prevent you from getting the treatment you need

Patient navigators work to empower you by linking you to a broad range of services. They’ll meet with you during your cancer care appointments and provide a behind-the-scenes support by reaching out to resources or other clinics on your behalf.

Patient navigators help with:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Understanding complex treatment schedules
  • Transportation
  • Insurance questions
  • Financial assistance  
  • Interpreter services
  • Connecting you to the Cancer Survivorship Program
  • Referrals to community resources

Social Work

Social workers are available to help you and your family with emotional, psychological, and social service needs. They are available on inpatient and outpatient units, and can meet with you before or after their doctor's appointments. If you are interested in meeting with a social workers, please talk to your doctor.


Diet and nutrition can be an important part of your cancer care. They can help you stay healthy overall and may help relieve symptoms. A nutritionist can help you address any concerns about your diet during your treatment. If you are interested in meeting with a nutritionist, please ask your doctor or social worker. 

Cancer Support Programs

BMC provides an array of groups, activities, events, and feature offerings throughout the year to support, encourage, and uplift cancer patients and their loved ones. These programs are open to anyone with cancer, regardless of when and where they may have been treated. Current patients and long-term survivors alike are welcome to participate, along with family members, friends, and other supporters.
