The providers and staff of Boston University Neurology Associates would like to provide important information for you. As COVID-19 has required adjustments in daily routines including limitation of travel, your health and wellbeing are our greatest concern. For this reason we will be limiting in person visits unless medically necessary as determined by you and your physician.
Telehealth Visits for Established Patients
Our physicians will provide telehealth visits for your follow up care until it is safe to meet in person. These visits by telephone will be scheduled during your normal visit time or as needed depending on your health status. Once scheduled by our office staff your physician will contact you by telephone. A family member may also join the call. It will be very important to be available for the scheduled call. The visits will be billed to your insurance company as your usual visits.
We are doing in-person visits for procedures such as botulinum toxin injections, trigger point injections, and steroid injections.
Telehealth Visits for New Patients
We are taking referrals for new patients. Some visits can be done entirely through video, other visits after initial video or telephone visit will require a limited in person assessment for examination.
Additional Information
We recommend that you continue to follow CDC guidelines to reduce any chance of exposure. There is excellent information available on the mass.gov COVID-19 website. If you have symptoms of COVID, or have been in contact with a person with COVID-19, please call your Primary Care Provider, to discuss the next steps you need to take. If you need medication refills, contact our office during business hours (M-F, 8am to 5pm), or message us through MyChart.
