We will soon begin repaving the main driveway outside the Yawkey, Menino, and Moakley buildings. Weather permitting, driveway closures are scheduled for the following weekends, from Friday at 8 p.m. through Sunday at 8 p.m., on the following dates: Sept. 19-21, Sept. 26-28, Oct. 17-19, and Oct. 24-26. 

Access Changes During Construction:

Pedestrian Access: Patients and visitors will be able to enter Moakley through the entrance on East Concord Street.    

Vehicle Access: Vehicular traffic should use the designated drop-off and pick-up area on East Concord Street or the 710 Albany Street Garage. Signage will indicate where metered parking has been blocked off to create a drop-off/pick-up zone (on E. Concord between Harrison and the Moakley side entrance).

HIV Clinic

As one of the largest HIV/AIDS programs in New England, the HIV Clinic at Boston Medical Center provides ongoing primary care to people with HIV in a model that offers seamless transitions between diagnosis, assessment, and treatment. Our clinicians, who are at the forefront of HIV/AIDS treatment and research, create an individualized treatment plan for each patient receiving HIV primary and specialty care. This may include other specialists who have expertise in caring for people with HIV, including obstetrics, gynecology, neurology, case management, pharmacy, psychiatry, and more.

The Department of Infectious Diseases at BMC houses the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Unit (ID-CRU). The ID-CRU facilitates innovative clinical and translational research in infectious diseases, including HIV, tropical medicine, and other areas.

Our research portfolio encompasses a range of outpatient HIV and infectious disease studies, including therapeutic clinical trials and clinical-translational research studies. We provide comprehensive support for clinical research, including study design, regulatory compliance, participant recruitment, and site initiation and conduct.
