"What is a shared service model? Why would an institution opt to establish a shared service model? Join a panel of seasoned research administrators as they share their stories about the hows, whats and whys of moving to a shared service in some capacity at their institution. They will discuss the history of why a shared service model was decided. They will also take a deep dive into the implementation process and the pros and cons of a shared service approach. Presenters will share information on challenges and considerations for others thinking about this approach. Finally, presenters will discuss audit best practices for the shared service model and provide some recommendations for how to successfully navigate this critical task."
