Our Team
Pediatric medicine patients are admitted to the Pediatrics care team, which is staffed seven days a week by our hospitalist attending group.
Pediatric surgical patients may be admitted to the Pediatrics care team, or to one of our surgical teams.

Multidisciplinary Care
During their admission, patients are cared for by a dedicated group of pediatric nurses and followed by a larger multidisciplinary care team that may include the following team members, all of whom specialize in pediatrics:
- Case manager
- Child Life specialist
- Interpreter Services
- Social worker
- Nutritionist
- Pharmacist
- Behavior specialist from the Autism Program
- Lactation specialist
- Occupational and/or physical therapists
- Speech and language pathologist
BMC’s many pediatric subspecialty services provide in-person consultation for admitted patients seven days a week.
