Amy Zane Haber, MD, is an attending anesthesiologist at Boston Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Teaching and mentoring are the cornerstones of Dr. Haber’s professional identity, embodying her commitment to fostering growth and excellence in others. She was honored with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021 for her work with Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine students.

Dr. Haber has utilized research as a catalyst for positive change in healthcare. She completed a QA/QI project on PONV rates in PACU patients, honing her analytical skills and highlighting the importance of data-driven improvements. Additionally, she contributed to a New England Journal of Medicine–published project, “Inhalational Induction,” that showcased the power of collaborative efforts in reshaping medical practice. Dr. Haber is eager to explore new avenues to innovate and enhance patient care.
