In this recipe, you are taking pre-made, canned soup and adding additional protein with milk powder and milk. This is an example of how you can get creative with foods and personalize them to suit your nutritional needs. Completely homemade is great, but using a canned soup as a base can save a lot of time. 

Ingredients


Canned_soup - 1 can heart healthy cream of mushroom soup Ricotta - ½ cup low-fat ricotta cheese Milk_powder - 2 Tablespoons skim milk powder Milk - 1 cup skim milk

Instructions

Step 1
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 2
Strain liquid into a bowl using a wire mesh strainer.
Step 3
Enjoy a 4-6 oz portion!

Notes

Feel free to heat up the blended soup in a small saucepan on a stove or in a microwave.

This recipe can be enjoyed at Stage 2, Stage 3, and Stage 4 of the bariatric surgery diet.
