Emergency Help at Boston Medical Center
During the Day
- Talk to your provider. They can refer you to therapy or to a psychiatrist who can prescribe medicine.
- The Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) is for walk-in urgent mental health care. No appointment is needed.
- CBHC is open:
- Monday–Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Evenings and Overnight
- Boston Emergency Services Team (BEST) offers emergency mental health services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 800.981.4357.
- The BMC Emergency Room is located at 725 Albany Street and is open 24 hours a day.
