Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
The most common and effective nonsurgical treatment for sleep apnea is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or CPAP which is applied through a nasal or facial mask while you sleep. The CPAP device does not breathe for you. Instead, it creates a flow of air pressure when you inhale that is strong enough to keep your airway passages open. Once your otolaryngologist determines that CPAP is the right treatment, you will need to wear the CPAP mask every night.

This procedure is performed under general anethesia using an endoscope (a long, thin tube that is placed through your mouth and into your esophagus). This approach does not require incisions. However, this is only suitable for patients who have no - or very small - hiatal hernias.
Go to Detail PageEndoscopic Skull Base Surgery
This is a type of skull base surgery that either doesn’t require any incisions, or, uses much smaller, hidden incisions than one would need for an open procedure to treat the same type of tumor. Using endoscopes (small cameras that see deep into the body), and special instruments designed for this type of surgery, tumors can be removed. In most cases, entry through the nostrils is enough to perform this delicate, complex surgery. Both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors can be removed in this way. This reduces recovery time as well as the length of time spent in the hospital, and gets a person back to their normal life very quickly. Not every patient is a candidate for endoscopic skull base surgery, but many patients benefit from this advanced surgical method.
Go to Detail PageEye Lid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty is aimed to reduce the excess of the skin of the eyelids as well as any swelling or sagging of the fat around the eye. These common effects of aging can result in a tired or sad facial expression. Some minor corrections in the upper lid can be easily corrected in the office with a little bit of local anesthesia in under an hour. More involved procedures will be done as an outpatient procedure. While most eyelid procedures are performed for cosmetic defects, some individuals experience a loss of their visual fields as a result of overhanging skin.

There are many factors that contribute to the appearance of our face and neck as people age. These include gravity, loss, and descent of the fat in the face, loss of skin elasticity, sun damage, habits such as smoking, as well as many other factors.

Providing volume to the cheeks can restore a more youthful appearance to the face. For some individuals, lifting the cheek is not the answer. Instead, fat from the belly, thighs or buttocks can be harvested to inject into the cheeks to provide needed volume. While this is a more-invasive option than fillers, it is less-invasive than lifting and provides longer-term volumization than biologic filler can offer.

Functional rhinoplasty differs from cosmetic rhinoplasty in that in functional rhinoplasty, the goals are altering the anatomy of the nose to relieve nasal obstruction.
Go to Detail PageHearing Aids
The best hearing aid for you depends upon your particular hearing loss and listening needs, the size and shape of your ear and ear canal, and the dexterity of your hands. Hearing aids should be custom-fit to your ear and hearing needs. Mail-order hearing aids typically cannot be custom-fit.
Go to Detail PageMicrovascular Reconstructive Surgery
Microvascular reconstruction is an advance form of reconstructive surgery whereby tissue with arteries and veins from your arm, leg, chest or back are harvested and utilized to reconstruct your face, scalp, throat or mouth. The microvascular portion involves suturing these small vessels (2-3mm wide) to arteries and veins in the neck to re-establish a blood supply to the tissue. This is a technically demanding procedure that requires the use of a microscope and suture that is finer than human hair. This procedure has been shown to improve outcomes in terms of maintaining the function of the head and neck and better aesthetic outcomes for patients with traumatic and congenital defects or require surgery for head and neck cancer.
Go to Detail PageMigraine Surgery
Migraine headaches affect a significant proportion of the population in the United States. These headaches can often be severe enough to completely alter one's ability to perform the most basic tasks essential for everyday living. While the mainstay of therapy is medication based, there are new treatments available to select individuals who suffer from migraines. The goal of migraine surgery is to localize and decompress nerves within the face and neck that have been linked to triggering migraine headaches. Studies have shown these procedures to either eliminate or reduce the severity, frequency or duration of these headaches in select patients.
