Lucy Marcil, MD
Co-Founder and Executive Director
Lucy is a pediatrician and advocate from South Carolina who works to alleviate the health impacts of poverty. She is a primary care pediatrician at Boston Medical Center, an assistant professor of pediatrics at Boston University, and Associate Director of Economic Mobility for the Center for the Urban Child and Healthy Family. Internationally, Lucy has undertaken pediatric health-systems strengthening in Namibia, Kenya, and Bangladesh. She earned her MD from the University of Pennsylvania and MPH at Johns Hopkins before completing pediatrics training at Harvard University and Boston University.

Rachel Sagor, MD
Acting Director
Rachel S Sagor, MD is a primary care pediatrician at Boston Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine with a focus on clinical innovations and medical education. Dr. Sagor is currently the acting director of StreetCred. She is the physician lead for the Primary Care Asthma team and she is the site director for third year medical students rotating through pediatric primary care at BMC. Dr. Sagor attended medical school at The University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her Pediatric Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Lisia Morales
Director of Operations
Lisia has been working in the non-profit industry for over 20 years. She has experience in program management and business development. Lisia graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Latin American Studies and Sociology. She earned her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University.

Barbara Amedoadzi
Project Program Coordinator, Family Engagement Lead
Barbara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Northeastern University. Barbara worked in Child Protection for seven years prior to joining BMC in 2020. Her passion lies in helping families rise above their financial challenges for the overall wellness of their children and to break free from generational poverty.

Sahar Choudhry
Clinical Operations Manager
Sahar was born and raised in Houston, TX. She graduated from Baylor University in 2020 with a B.S. in Public Health and then later with a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Science from Baylor in 2023. Before joining StreetCred in April 2024, Sahar worked with the Teen & Tot program at BMC, a specialty pediatric program providing dyadic care to pregnant and parenting adolescents. Sahar’s work and research focuses on maternal & child health, with an emphasis on advancing health equity.

Joseph "Joey" Perez
Financial Community Wellness Advocate: Family Medicine
Joseph (Joey) Pérez holds dual degrees in Human Biology and Society, and Chicana/o Studies from UCLA. As a former bilingual educator with Teach for America, Joey brings a deep commitment to tackling health inequities through education and culturally informed care. Currently a pre-Physician Associate (PA) candidate, Joey aspires to pursue PA training after their time with StreetCred, with the goal of providing compassionate, community-centered healthcare to underserved populations in Boston.

Amanda Amankwa

Amanda holds a B.S. in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park. She brings valuable experience working with individuals facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and other marginalized groups. Amanda aims to further her impact in this field by pursuing a graduate degree in public health, ultimately aspiring to a career in medicine. Her dedication to these communities drives her passion for creating positive change and improving health outcomes.

Samuel Francois

Samuel is a recent graduate of Elms College with a Master's degree in Biomedical Science. Prior to his graduate studies, he gained valuable experience in a school setting as an Associate Dean of Culture, where he played a key role in shaping the school's cultural environment. Samuel aspires to pursue a career in medicine, driven by a strong desire to serve underserved communities. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Merrimack College, which has provided him with a solid foundation for understanding human behavior.

Annanya Agarwal

Annanya is a recent graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. Originally from Palm Beach, Florida, she has worked with the underserved Guatemalan community, focusing on health disparities and youth engagement. These experiences have shaped her into a fierce advocate for patient-centered care and health education in underserved communities. Annanya is passionate about public health, holistic care, cardiology, and pediatrics, which she plans to pursue further in medical school.

Maisie was born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. She graduated from Clark University in Worcester, MA, in May of 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. In both her work and her everyday life, Maisie is a passionate advocate for social justice.

Bella Prince
Team Associate
Bella is the team associate for the Grow Clinic. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2022 with a BA in sociomedical sciences, and minors in anthropology and biology. She began at Boston Medical Center as an Americorps member with the Grow Clinic and really enjoys working with children. She has always had an interest in helping others and working in the healthcare field. Bella plans to stay at BMC after her service year is complete and continue to pursue her passion for public health. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, going to the movies and being outside.
