Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum Care
Resources for Patients
Many departments and programs across BMC offer resources for pregnant people and and new parents or parents of young children.
In particular, BMC’s Bump & Beyond minisite is designed to be a comprehensive, one-stop source of support for you at every stage of pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the first weeks of postpartum recovery and parenting—keeping you informed, empowered, and connected with the resources you need.

Single-Family Postpartum Rooms
Single family postpartum rooms are offered to birthing parents and their babies, giving them the privacy they need during recovery. Those who have just given birth can recover and parents can bond with their new baby.
Tours of BMC’s newly renovated Labor & Delivery (L&D) suites with single-family postpartum rooms, newborn nursery, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) are available in English and Spanish:
- To register for an upcoming tour, call 617.414.3875 and leave a message with your name, due date, phone number, and best time to call back.
