Single-Family Postpartum Rooms

Single family postpartum rooms are offered to birthing parents and their babies, giving them the privacy they need during recovery. Those who have just given birth can recover and parents can bond with their new baby.

Tours of BMC’s newly renovated Labor & Delivery (L&D) suites with single-family postpartum rooms, newborn nursery, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) are available in English and Spanish:

  • To register for an upcoming tour, call 617.414.3875 and leave a message with your name, due date, phone number, and best time to call back.
  • Tours are Wednesdays at 3 p.m. and Fridays at 12 p.m.
  • Each tour lasts approximately one hour.
  • Tours begin from the Yawkey Ambulatory Care Center, 5th floor (the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, or OB/GYN).
