Las plaquetas (trombocitos) son un componente de la sangre cuya función principal es detener el sangrado obstruyendo las lesiones de los vasos sanguíneos (hemostasia). Si hay demasiadas o muy pocas plaquetas, pueden ocurrir problemas de sangrado. Existen diferentes trastornos plaquetarios con diferentes síntomas.
