An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Boston Medical Center provides a wide range of clinical testing to support your care team in diagnosing, managing, and treating your illness or condition, as well as offering outpatient transfusion services on the BMC main campus.

To use our blood draw locations, your doctor must first send testing orders to our lab. Contact one of our locations or reach out to your care team if you have questions.

In affiliation with the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine offers a combined anatomic pathology (AP) and clinical pathology (CP) residency and a one-year cytopathology fellowship.

The mission of the Laboratory & Biorepository Research Services (LABS) Core is to provide high-quality research services to members of the BMC and BU research community in order to support innovative and impactful science.
