Diagnostic Tests
Actigraphy
An actigraphy uses a small monitor called an actigraph that you wear like a watch to measures your activity and rest. It measures your sleep cycle and can be used to diagnose circadian rhythm and other sleep disorders.
Many cases of sleep apnea can be diagnosed with an at-home test. If it's right for you, your doctor can prescribe you a breathing monitor to wear while sleeping.
The multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) tests for excessive daytime sleepiness by measuring how quickly a patient falls asleep in a quiet place during the day. It is the standard tool used to diagnose narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia.
An overnight sleep study, also known as a polysomnography, is used to diagnose sleep disorders. You'll spend the night a sleep lab and we'll track the activity of your heart, brain, respiratory system, and more.
A sleep evaluation, also known as polysomnography or a sleep study, is used to diagnose sleep disorders or determine a treatment plan. During a sleep study, you'll sleep while your brain waves, oxygen level, heart rate, and breathing are measured.
