An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Ingredients


Oats - ¼ cup OR ¼ cup bread crumbs Egg - 1 Ground_turkey - 1 lb (93% fat free), or ground beef, ground chicken, or ground meat alternative (such as Beyond Meat) Italian_seasoning - 2 teaspoons Salt - ½ teaspoon Marinara_sauce - 1 jar Parmesan_cheese - ¼ cup optional

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
To make the meatballs, put ¼ cup of oats (if using) into a blender and blend to a flour like consistency. Add to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Crack an egg by tapping the egg on a flat surface and pulling the shell apart with your thumbs, letting the egg fall into the bowl.
Step 4
Add 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning and ½ teaspoon of salt to the bowl. Add the ground turkey to the bowl and mix with your hands by pinching the ingredients into the ground turkey. Wash your hands.
Step 5
Grease a large baking sheet.
Step 6
Using a Tablespoon, scoop out 15 heaping tablespoons of the turkey mixture directly onto the baking sheet pan and mold into meatballs. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 7
Serve as a dipper with a side of marinara sauce and cheese or over pasta
