An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) occurs when the mitral valve, the heart valve that prevents the backflow of blood from the left ventricle to the left atrium of the heart, flops back into the left atrium for various reasons.
