Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

About

Samantha Truong, MD, is an academic generalist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Truong provides care at the BMC Refugee Women’s Health Clinic and at NeighborHealth, a Federally Qualified Health Center in East Boston. She is an Approved Bilingual Provider/Qualified Bilingual Staff for Spanish.

Dr. Truong’s research and clinical work in global health equity centers on respectful maternity care, refugee and (im)migrant health, and reproductive justice/family planning access. Through the Doris Duke International Clinical Research Fellowship, she has been collaborating with Partners In Health since 2018 with a focus in Chiapas, México, where she has developed research and capacity-building initiatives with the Sexual and Reproductive Health team. As a member of Physicians for Human Rights, she performs asylum evaluations for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
