I received training at Brown University in Complex Spine Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Gokaslan. My goal to be trained and acquire the best techniques and decision-making capacity in different surgical approaches to the spine. Having the opportunity to work and learn the techniques and the decision making from the people who are pioneers in the spine field and leaders in research and publication, would allow me to understand and perpetuate the knowledge, which at the end would reflect in best results for the patients. Within the next five years, my intention is to build a practice in spine surgery that can integrate the technology and the surgical techniques learned, at the service of those most in need. Therefore, that BMC can be a spinal surgery referral center in the world. Working with residents and medical students, the surgical and research skills learned are to be used on a national and then international level, in the field of spine surgery
