The Child Trauma and Resilience Network (CRTN)—a collection of leading programs that includes the Child Witness to Violence Project, Good Grief Program, and the Center of Excellence for Immigrant Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health—was formed to meet the evolving needs of children, youth, and families impacted by trauma and loss. The mission of the CTRN is to provide specialized, trauma-informed treatments that promote safety and healing for children and youth after life’s most challenging moments.

Research Overview
CTRN conducts research to improve the quality of care for all patients, with the specific goal of supporting health equity and anti-racism initiatives. Current studies include:
- Anti-Racism Toolkit for Pediatric Providers: This mixed-methods study aims to develop, pilot, and evaluate an Anti-Racism Toolkit designed to help pediatric clinicians at BMC address racism and discrimination with patients and families during clinical care.
- Health Equity Evaluation of CWVP & GG Programs: This study examined how the Child Witness to Violence Project and the Good Grief Program support Black/African American caregivers and their young children following trauma or loss.
