Join Boston Medical Center Health System as we bring together healthcare leaders and community advocates to share clear, trusted medical information about men’s health. We’ll cover mental health, heart health, prostate health, and other key men’s health issues—emphasizing prevention, routine checkups, and access to care.
The evening will include an informative panel discussion about men’s health and
interactive activities and resource tables about specific men’s health issues.

James Lambert III, MBA
Engagement Specialist
James Lambert III, MBA is a strategist and master facilitator who transforms hard conversations into clarity, courage, and actionable skill. As the founder of Third Exposure, he builds spaces that challenge people to confront their patterns and step into their power. He is also the co-founder of Making Human Technical, where he turns the emotional, cultural, and relational parts of leadership into teachable, repeatable tools. James is the creator and host of Bridging Conversations, an affinity space where men explore identity, healing, and emotional wellness with honesty and depth. His sessions are known for being electric—equal parts truth‑telling, skill‑building, and cultural fluency. James has a rare ability to take complex, emotionally charged topics and translate them into language people can actually use. Audiences trust him because he doesn’t just facilitate dialogue; he engineers transformation. His work consistently leaves people with tangible strategies they can apply the same day, not abstract theory. Whether he’s coaching executives, guiding providers, or working with youth, James brings a presence that is grounded, magnetic, and deeply human. He is committed to helping people move from awareness to action, from discomfort to growth, and from conversation to real, lasting change.
Sumon Roy, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Interventional & Structural Cardiologist, Boston Medical Center, BMC Brighton, and BMC South
Sumon Roy, MD, FACC, FACP, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional and structural cardiologist at Boston Medical Center Health System. He specializes in minimally invasive transcatheter procedures to treat coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Roy sees patients at Boston Medical Center, BMC Brighton, and BMC South, and maintains an outpatient practice in North Easton, Massachusetts. A South Shore native, he brings advanced interventional and structural cardiology expertise to the region.
He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Rochester General Hospital, and fellowships in cardiovascular disease at Virginia Commonwealth University and in interventional and structural cardiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Kevin M. Simon, MD, MPH
Chief Behavioral Health Officer, City of Boston Boston Public Health Commission
Dr. Kevin Simon is the City of Boston’s inaugural Chief Behavioral Health Officer, appointed by Mayor Michelle Wu. He is a physician-scientist, health policy expert, inspirational teacher, and gifted writer. Dr. Simon is a pediatric addiction medicine psychiatrist at Boston Children’s Hospital, an instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a recent Commonwealth Fund fellow in health policy at Harvard University, and the medical director of Wayside Youth & Family Support Network.
Dr. Simon cares for youth and families through the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and the Division of Addiction Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has won multiple awards for research on structural violence, health equity, and mental health. Additionally, he consults for federal agencies on mental health system design and practices.
Dr. Simon’s writings on health equity have been published in notable journals like the American Journal of Public Health and The New England Journal of Medicine.
Thea James, MD, MPH, MBA

Thea James, MD, oversees BMCHS’ relationships and strategic alliances with local, state, and national partners to meet the full spectrum of essentials that enables patients and communities to thrive. She is also an associate professor of emergency medicine and director of the Violence Intervention Advocacy Program.
Dr. James has held a number of public health and health equity-related positions in her 27-year tenure at BMC, as well as practicing as an emergency room physician. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and trained in emergency medicine at Boston City Hospital, where she was chief resident. Dr. James currently serves on the boards of UPSTREAM USA, Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, Compass Working Capital, Health Alliance for Violence Intervention, and Community Servings.
