Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

There are several important steps to becoming a new patient in the BMC Immigrant & Refugee Health Center:

  1. Register as a BMC Patient

    For patients who are new to Boston Medical Center, please register as a BMC patient by calling the BMC patient registration team at 617.414.6060.
     
  2. Apply for Health Insurance Coverage

    Everyone in Massachusetts can access some health insurance coverage, regardless of immigration status. For patients who do not have health insurance coverage, call BMC Patient Financial Counseling at 617.414.5155 to make an appointment to apply for health insurance.
