Sona A. Chikarmane, MD

Sona A. Chikarmane, MD, FSBI, is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and staff in the Breast Imaging Division at Boston Medical Center. She completed her medical training at Harvard Medical School and her residency and fellowship in Breast Imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her previous roles include Associate Chair of Faculty Development and Divisional Chief of Breast Imaging at BWH. Her research interests include synthetic mammography and screening populations at intermediate risk for breast cancer.
