Mei A. Elansary, MD, MPhil is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Elansary earned her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and completed her pediatrics residency training through the Boston Combined ... Residency Program (Boston Children’s Hospital/Boston Medical Center). She subsequently completed a fellowship in Developmental–Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Elansary’s areas of interest include improving care for families impacted by substance use disorder (SUD), with a focus on supporting early childhood development. She is the Director of Research for SOFAR (Supporting Our Families through Addiction and Recovery), a medical home in the pediatric primary care clinic for parents in recovery and their children.
