About

Dr. Rosete Lu (she/they/siya) is the Associate Program Director for the OB/GYN residency at Boston Medical Center. She earned her combined undergraduate and graduate degrees at New York University with a BA in Biology and MPA in International Health Policy. She then completed her medical degree at University of Miami followed by residency in OBGYN. She most recently completed a fellowship in Complex Family Planning at BMC.

As a physician-researcher, Dr. Rosete Lu is deeply committed to centering the perspectives of historically marginalized populations, developing equitable and tailored reproductive healthcare, and building clinician counseling skills to advance that vision. Her research includes evidencing cervical preparation options prior to abortion care as well as exploring adolescents' experiences with abortion and post-abortion contraception. She has served on the board of White Coats for Black Lives and is passionate about anti-racist medical education and patient-centered care.

Her academic vision is to foster growth mindsets in learners through celebrations of learning and proactive, iterative curriculum design. IShe also serves as faculty mentor for Student Partnership for Reproductive Choice (SPARC), a service-learning program that trains medical students to provide emotional support for patients seeking abortion care. She is a clinical lecturer for Likhaan, an NGO that integrates health services with organizing-education to improve the reproductive health of women and adolescents in Manila.
