Dr. Lan Zhou is a neurologist and research scientist subspecializing in neuromuscular diseases. She is a Professor of Neurology and Pathology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Zhou sees patients, does NCS/EMG, and performs and interprets muscle, nerve, and skin biopsies. She directs the Boston Medical Center Neuromuscular Pathology Service. She has special clinical and research interests in myopathies and small fiber neuropathy. Her research has been funded by National Institute of Health. Dr. Zhou has published extensively in biomedical journals. She has given many invited talks and lectures nationally and internationally.
