Kristen H. (Goodell) Hanssen, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC). She is also Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she serves as Associate Dean of Admissions and is an Academy Medical Educator who coaches, advises, and teaches clinical skills to all four years of ... medical students.

From 2007 to 2017, she was a family physician at Winchester Physician Associates and a school physician for the Medford Public Schools in Medford, Massachusetts.
Dr. Goodell has served in multiple national leadership positions, including as co-chair of the Leadership Development Task Force of the Council on Academic Family Medicine, treasurer of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and chair of the National Council on Graduate Medical Education.
