Justin K. Lui, MD, MS

Justin K. Lui, MD, MS, is a board-certified pulmonologist and intensivist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep & Critical Care Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Lui received his medical degree from Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and completed his general medicine residency training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at BMC. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from the Boston University School of Public Health.

Dr. Lui’s clinical interests and research focus on pulmonary hypertension, specifically systemic sclerosis. Within the Pulmonary Center, he conducts clinical and translational research that is at the intersection of medicine and engineering, applying advanced data science approaches for a deep cardiopulmonary phenotyping of this rare disease population to further advance novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

In addition to his research interests, Dr. Lui is passionate about teaching clinical reasoning, trainee career development, and interprofessional education.
