Julie P. Thakkar, MSN, WHNP-BC, CNM

Julie (Patel) Thakkar, MSN, WHNP-BC, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health care nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Division of Adolescent Medicine (Adolescent Center) at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Before joining BMC, she worked as a registered nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital. She has a particular interest in adolescent healthcare, including adolescent pregnancy and perinatal health.
