Julie G. Mottl-Santiago, MSN, DrPH, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Julie holds an undergraduate degree from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Simmons College. She subsequently earned her Master of Public Health degree and professional midwifery certification through the Boston University School of Public Health, where she went on to earn a doctorate in public health. Her research interests include midwifery care, community doula outcomes, Medicaid and maternity care services, and public health approaches to maternal and infant health.

Julie has been in practice for more than two decades. At BMC, she works in the Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum Care unit. In addition to English, she speaks French and Spanish.
