About
Jeremy T. Ng, MD, CAQSM, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician specializing in primary care sports medicine at the Ryan Center for Sports Medicine at Boston University, and an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Ng was born and raised in eastern Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Boston University ... School of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He subsequently completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine through the University of Pennsylvania Health System that included comprehensive training in pediatric sports medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
After completing his fellowship training, he worked in Florida for Bommarito Performance Systems’ NFL Combine Preparation Program, where he helped design and lead speed/movement and film review sessions and created individualized meal plans for players. He also worked extensively with IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where he cared for their professional, Olympic, and elite student-athletes and served as team physician for their NFL Combine Preparation Program and their nationally renowned high school football team. Between the two Combine Prep programs, approximately 140 players were selected in the NFL Draft. In 2018, Dr. Ng received the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida’s Sports Medicine Person of the Year Award.
Dr. Ng has also worked as Associate Lead Primary Care Team Physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received the UCLA Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program’s Award for Excellence in Education.
Dr. Ng is a team physician for the United States Soccer Federation. He was team physician for the 2017 FIFA Men’s Under-17 World Cup and several CONCACAF championships from the U15 to U20 level.
Dr. has USA Track and Field Level II coaching certifications. He is on the medical advisory board for the Korey Stringer Institute, where he pursues his interest in optimizing safety and performance in the heat. He has lectured nationally on the topics of concussion management, long-term athlete development, and speed development.
